Lucy Renton’s practice is concerned with colour, pattern, repetition and ornament. She uses an expanded definition of printmaking, in combination with drawn and painted figure and line, to disturb the location of the decorative in domestic space, and, through a combination of reduction and intensification, to play with the changing values of repeated marks, both handmade and automatic.
